FIRST ANNUAL HBA MEMBERSHIP RECRUITMENT GOLF TOURNAMENT

One of the objectives of the HBA is to have our voice heard and heeded relating to city issued involving our industry.  The stronger our organization, the more members we represent, the greater our influence is and the more our voices count.

Member recruitment is a critical part of the package and there is hardly a better way to recruit members than to sponsor a fall golf tournament.

There will be numerous opportunities for members, our suppliers or subs to get their names out front with hole, team, refreshments or even more major sponsorships.  And since this is a membership recruiting opportunity, putting together a team of folks who are not yet (but should be) part of our organization, could be just the ticket to convince them to become HBA members.

So mark your calendars, talk up the tourney and plan to be there even if, like me, you aren’t a golfer.  I’ve attending benefit tournaments as a spectator and have had a great time just watching others in their joys and frustrations of the game.

 

FALL PARADE OF HOMES

October 6 – Friday – Judging

October 7 & 8 – Saturday and Sunday – Public Visits

 

The Parade of Homes committee is diligently working on putting together the Parade magazine listing sponsors (advertisers) and all of the homes to be judged.   To be certain of the best product possible, all information needs to be forwarded to the designer/publisher of the magazine so that the committee can review galley proofs and have changes made.  After the layout has been perfected, pictures and information about the homes and the location map can be added and we can get the magazine printed and into the hands of realtors, banks and other outlets to attract the most visitors.

 

At this time the deadline for entering homes is August 15, and information needed for the entry should include location, driving instructions, home description, price, builder’s logo and pictures.  Entry price is the same as last year at $450 per home.
